The Rocks heritage bathroom renovation

A bathroom in a heritage terrace, built around an original leadlight window. A freestanding bath, patterned floor tiles and a frameless shower bring a modern finish, but the house still feels like itself.

About this project

The scope, constraint and finished work

This full bathroom renovation ran for four weeks, with the project notes listing an about $32,000 budget. The work combined large-format wall tiles, encaustic-look floor tiles, matte black fittings, a freestanding bath, a floating vanity and a frameless shower screen. The important constraint was protecting the original heritage window throughout the renovation.
